i visited Dallas during my visit to Texas. Dallas is nice but its more like a suburb with some glass towers. No real "city" where people walk and talk everyday can be that clean. It was ok, the only thing i thing i really enjoyed was Reuninon Tower and riding Dart from Mockingbird Station. IT has a lot of shopping but like the previous poster said, You can do that anywhere! Dallas was alright but enjoyed Houston more!

Very freewayish. Not much to do. It's on a prairie for goodness sake. Way too hot in summer and cold in winter. For shopping and stuff it's Ok, but you can do that anywhere.

Dallas is an incredbily non-metro city. The city is incredibly old-school and the housing in north Dallas is the worst in the nation. A Boston winter beats the heck out of the Dallas summer heat. The lakes around Dallas suck and will do nothing for you in the summer. Almost no party scene even on the weekends and the water skiiing and wakeboarding suck because you have to put up with redneck texans the whole time.

Dallas is an incredible metro city. The city is ultra modern and housing in north Dallas is top in the nation. I love it when someone from Boston says the weather is bad...sure it gets a little hot...beats the heck outta Boston winters. The lakes around Dallas are fantastic and will keep you cool in the summer. Huge party scenes on the weekend and great water skiing and wakeboarding.

Oh you can find a sports team or two as we all know. Little to do and a monotone landscape. One day it might be 89 sweltering degees and the next day - 15! A lot of suburban type shpping plazas and such, not much to it.

I visited Dallas for for my first time this past May (I'm from the Washington DC area). It was among the most boring cities I've ever been to, especially considering how well known this city is. Other than the Sixth floor museum, there is almost nothing else to recommend. There is very little sense of history or culture. Dallas is just a big, spread out suburb. Nightlife is nearly non-existant. I think northern part of Dallas and Plano is where you want to be if you're planning to move there. The area is more upscale. People are more intelligent and yuppielike. In the rest of the city though, there are lots of hicks and bubbas.
I think Fort Worth is better. There is more sense of culture. You should visit the Stockyards while you're there.

Hot and crime ridden with absolutely no style to make it stand out. People in Dallas are stuck up and rude. Downtown is clean and the skyline looks nice, but who cares? Locals don't know how to party. Overall I think Dallas sucks.

There just isn't much to do around here except shop at the mall. The weather is atrocious most of the time. Very spread out and suburban-like.

The Ballpark at Arlington was one of the worst baseball experiences I've ever had. First, it took about an hour to get off of the highway and into the parking lot. Then, they detoured you for another half hour through a maze of lots before we actually parked. Then you were about a 15-20 minute walk from the stadium. Great, we finally got there! Nope, sorry. Had to walk halfway around the stadium to the will call window, then halfway back around to get to our seats. I'll never go back to this stadium. Other than that, Dallas was pretty average. Ate at a great restaurant called Sambucca that had a kick ass blues band playing, great food, and hot-ass waitresses.

Nothing special stands out. Very flat and boring landscape and unbearable heat a lot of times. Somew pretty good shopping type areas. Better than it's ugly stepsister to the south.

When the best I can say about a city is "Well, at least I'm not in Houston", you know you're in Hell. Dallas sucks, plain and simple. The problem is, they think they're Paradise. Get real, people-- you live in a sh*thole.

Dallas is a one of the best citys I have ever had the plesure to visit. I had a picture of Dallas in my mind before my trip. It was completly erased the second I steped off of the plane. It is very modern, I was just amazed at how new everything was. The Dallas skyline is unbeliveable, I would have to recomend that everyone take the ride in the glass elevator at Reunion Tower.
