San Fran / Oakland was this year's stop on the once-a-year baseball stadium tour. Our group of three had never been to the City by the Bay, and looked forward to a long weekend of eating, drinking, and taking in the sights. We stayed at the Grosvenor Suites on Nob Hill. The staff was friendly and our corner suite was clean, with a great view of downtown and the bay. During the course of our stay, we had Dim Sum in China Town, Cioppino at Tadich Grill (A Must), seafood in Fisherman's Wharf, Irish Coffee's at the Buena Vista, yada yada yada. Hence, the 10 rating. PNC Park is beautiful, with it's idyllic setting nestled against the bay. The crowd at the game and in the city was friendly, even though there seemed to be quite a few homeless folks looking for a handout in the Union Square area and at the Cable Car turnarounds. A must-do for out of towners like us: rent a bike in Fisherman's Wharf and bike over the Golden Gate Bridge, then down into Sausalito. We stopped in Sausalito for lunch (tacos) at a joint called 'Salsalito", then took the ferry back across the bay to the wharf, and turned in our bikes. All in all, about 4 hours round trip, and a fairly easy ride for all ages.

Beautiful city, no doubt about it. Nice art scene, and pretty good food(mainly of the asian variety), but the night life does not cater to my taste. Where is the hockey?
